In Monte Carlo method project tasks are modeled by a chosen probability distribution. Parameters for the distribution as well as the number of simulation rounds are given by the user. Number of simulation rounds tells how many times the whole project is calculated. For each simulation round each project task gets random cost and duration values, which are sampled from task specific distributions.
After large number of repetitions probability distributions for total project cost and schedule are shown. Simulation section of the manual gives further information on viewing the results.
